It’s unpleasant when someone’s life is boring. It is even more unpleasant for a person when there are no prospects in front of him and he is experiencing financial difficulties. The lack of sufficient opportunities and money can seriously worry him and even lead to despair. The continued lack of good opportunities and development options can turn him into an unhappy person. The longer the periods of difficulties in life, the more a person is left with the impression that life as a whole is disgusting. Even if from time to time there are flashes and breaths of freshness, when troubles prevail, there remains an indelible impression, which for some people is quite traumatic. These people may begin to withdraw into themselves, become embittered or become bitter towards others. A series of failures can lead to a loss of faith in one’s own strength and abilities, or to attempts to look for those responsible for failures and make unfounded accusations against other people. This can lead to distortion of the picture and incorrect perception, to a wrong understanding of the environment and the situation, as well as life in general. A person can begin to deceive himself, come up with strange excuses, consider unreasonable and dangerous scenarios, commit rash and risky actions. He can take a risky and dangerous path, face unexpected obstacles, create problems with difficult-to-predict consequences and get into situations from which it will be difficult to get out. Adversity at some point can simply fall on us with all its weight and complicate our lives as much as possible. It may seem to us that we have no useful move, and the situation is hopeless and unsolvable. We may despair for a moment, but there is always hope. Hope dies last. A person should never give up. We should always strive to make everything right and strive for the best in general. Different people have different views on life and struggle to achieve their goals in different ways. But we must not forget that we are all human beings, and that each of us has our own goals and dreams, just like everyone else in this world. We must treat the aspirations and efforts of others with respect and understanding. We should not forget that they, like us, have their own goals, dreams and aspirations, and they make efforts to realize them.
David has been looking for a good job for a long time to satisfy his ambitions. After all, he is a person with a higher education and work experience in the field in which he works. He worked in various positions and eventually became an absolute top-level specialist and a highly qualified professional in his field. David has long noticed that finding a good job is not an easy task if a person is ambitious enough. Even good training and accumulated experience may not be enough. He realized long ago that if a person does not find a promising and profitable job and does not get a job in a promising and profitable field, his life will be difficult. Yes, there are always a large number of vacancies in the labor market and a large number of jobs are offered. The problem is simply that low-paid jobs prevail. Positions that do not lead in a positive direction prevail. With such a job, it is impossible to become a successful and happy person. In such a job, you will learn something new, but you will not develop enough, you will not create the prerequisites and conditions for growth. With such work experience, it will be difficult to find good career options and you will not get impressive offers if you have worked only in a regular job, in low positions, without looking for and developing your potential. It will be difficult for you to succeed if you don’t emphasize and use your strengths and show what you are really good at. Even if a person does not immediately discover their strengths, this can happen later and lead to unexpected results and successes, to a new lifestyle. David is an intelligent young man, a university graduate who has always received high marks and subsequently worked in several international companies. David has formed ideas about things and certain requirements for jobs and employers, and he is not inclined to compromise and lower the bar. He always applies for those positions that he considers the most promising and which could bring him the best opportunities for development, growth and high income. He makes his way in the face of serious competition from other trained and ambitious people. David has to study a lot, accumulate knowledge from different fields, know every detail. Earlier, when he was a student and shortly after graduating from university, David also worked in a low-paid job, also worked in unpleasant places, like many other people. He noticed that such work does not allow a person to study and develop enough, and gradually begins to exhaust him physically and mentally. Performing a large number of daily routine operations, a person does not have the opportunity to gain enough valuable experience, work with modern technologies and develop their thinking and abilities. Thus, he begins to tread in one place, without developing. A little new knowledge accumulates, which is not enough to become a quality specialist, but mostly fatigue and negative emotions accumulate from stress, from stressful and monotonous daily life. A person begins to lose faith that he can achieve something on his own, begins to sink emotionally, and it is possible that for a long time he will not have any good ideas about how to move forward and rise to the surface. Gray and difficult everyday life and a long series of failures can seriously worry a person, make him think about whether everything he has done so far is right. They can make him rewind the tape and think about what mistakes he made, what chances he missed. One can imagine that he could be more persistent and creative, discover more good opportunities and more promising niches, lay and develop more foundations for his current and future endeavors. It is useful to make an effort, or at least try to create and outline new perspectives for yourself. It’s good to try to discover new horizons on your own.
David worked in different places and in different positions. He was always striving for the best. Not every job and not every position could satisfy his ambitions, satisfy his craving for new knowledge, amazing projects and growth. It happened that he rejected relatively well-paid offers and refused relatively profitable undertakings because they did not satisfy him enough and he did not see sufficient prospects in them. David is a good specialist who often earns a decent salary, but leads a modest lifestyle. He considers his life orderly and boring. David has a girlfriend named Vanessa. Vanessa also graduated from university, but earns significantly less than David and achieves significantly less success than him. Often Vanessa also faces difficulties in finding a job, but the difference is that sometimes it is difficult for her to find even the most ordinary job and keep it. As a person, Vanessa is extremely demanding. She can leave her job at any time and without any specific explanation of the reasons. David recalls that before they became a couple, Vanessa was part of a rather arrogant group of girlfriends, where girls showed arrogant behavior, wore expensive clothes and looked for rich partners. In fact, Vanessa was the most humble and down-to-earth of all in this company, and that’s why David liked her. But he was always afraid of losing her. Vanessa is still very beautiful and attracts the attention of men, including the rich, and the influence of her friends probably made an impression on her and left its mark. David remembers that Vanessa ignored him for a long time, until one day, after leaving work again, she almost went broke and decided to respond to his invitations. Because of the frequent parties with friends and because of the large expenses on clothes and various luxury items, Vanessa has practically no savings, and in fact there is a possibility that then she was simply left without money. At the moment, David is a serious person and a specialist, he has savings and certain opportunities, but he is far from rich. He has enough money to support himself and his wife at a certain level. He could cover her expenses to some extent, buy her gifts and take her to interesting places, but he could never afford what a rich man could afford. Vanessa’s friends and, perhaps, secretly she herself dreamed of a rich guy. According to one of David’s versions, Vanessa became his girlfriend because she couldn’t find a guy with money, and because at the same time she faced financial difficulties. She wasn’t even able to pay for her accommodation and cover her daily expenses at the same time, so she immediately moved in with David to avoid paying for accommodation, and David took over her expenses. David is almost sure that Vanessa just took a temporary step to get out of trouble, and secretly dreams of meeting a rich boyfriend and breaking up with him. However, it is clear that Vanessa likes David as a person, she finds him extremely cute. It’s not very clear if she loves him. David had never liked women like Vanessa’s company friends. He thinks they only think about money and are only looking for people with money who could support them. David also doesn’t like people with money, because he believes that very few of them earned their money by honest work, and besides, it’s easier for them to steal your girlfriend. David does not belong to the category of men that Vanessa’s friends would like. He doesn’t have a lot of money and an expensive car of the latest model, he doesn’t wear expensive clothes and mostly rides public transport. He secretly hopes that Vanessa is not like her friends, and loves him for real. And he really would like to try to offer her more, pleasantly surprise her. Sometimes he tries to look deep into her soul and understand more about her as a person, but he fails to form a complete picture of her. At the same time, he creates an idealized image of her, which he really likes, and at the same time he is afraid that Vanessa dreams of a completely different life, which he will not be able to provide for her. Besides the fact that Vanessa is very beautiful and pretentious, she also has dreams and ambitions like any normal person. Vanessa also went through many difficult periods in her life and faced difficult problems. She got into quite unpleasant situations, she had failures that affected her outlook on life. She knows well which things make her happy and which have a negative impact on her. – “Vanessa, do you love me?” – David asks sometimes. “Of course I love you,” – Vanessa always replies. “Why are you asking me this question? Are you doubting something?” – She turns to David. “I’m asking you this question because I love you too!” – David responds with a smile, hiding his doubts and pain.
After a while, they both start thinking about changing direction again: ambitious David is again looking for exciting assignments and impressive offers, while Vanessa is determined to find a serious and permanent job. Vanessa starts working in a luxury boutique, while David is still considering various offers. Vanessa seriously bothers David after telling him that one of her bosses seems to be courting her, and it later turns out that he even offered her a secret relationship with a substantial bonus on top of her salary. A familiar problem again, David tells himself. – “Women, money, women and money”… Vanessa tells him that she refused the offer, saying: “Who does this guy take me for!”. David believes Vanessa’s words, but secretly wonders what would happen if Vanessa got stuck for money again or if her boss wasn’t married. After this incident, Vanessa quit her job again, and David began to think about the idea of helping people who cannot find good development opportunities for themselves and are experiencing financial difficulties. David suspects that it is the lack of good prospects and sufficient security in life that makes people sell themselves and do things that they would not do if everything were good. This is his opinion, formed on the basis of his observations of life, and depends not only on his assumptions and guesses about Vanessa. Yes, Vanessa really can secretly be a calculating woman that David is afraid of, or a gold digger that he would hate. But one thing is for sure: if she had more opportunities for development, she would be different, much better and much happier. If people had more options and opportunities in general, they would be much better and happier, life would be much better.
One day, when David and Vanessa were resting, there was a knock on the door, and a courier appeared with a parcel. David and Vanessa were very surprised because they didn’t order anything. David accepted the package and began to unpack it. He was surprised to find that a brand new tablet had been delivered to him. David turned it on, and a logo appeared on the screen, representing a circle similar to the planet Earth, inside which many people are holding hands, but without text. David didn’t understand what this logo meant, he had never seen it before. He noticed that the tablet was running an unknown operating system called “Mystery OS” and that it supported many unknown applications. An advertisement for an international organization or foundation called the “Global Forum for Mutual Assistance” was posted in a prominent place. David noticed a lot of icons of mysterious applications, spaces and forums. It was as if he had entered a new exciting and mysterious unknown world. Interestingly, most of the icons on the tablet were dynamic, and when you hover your finger over them, a window opened with a preview of a specific application, a short clip and brief information about the purpose of each application. Another feature was that most of the applications were locked and had different access levels. Any locked application could only be opened with a special code or key, which could only be obtained by reaching a certain level of access. It was clear that the access levels were different and allowed access to a different number and type of functionality, depending on the user’s access level. According to previews and brief descriptions of applications, it was clear that the range of services and their scale depend on a special rating based on loyalty, but there was no information about how this rating is formed. Studying the tablet and showing it to Vanessa, David still didn’t understand why someone had sent him this tablet at all. Until he noticed that one of the apps belongs to an online advertising platform that he recently signed up for – the “Magic Directions” platform. He also found a job ads section on this platform and even applied for a job on several ads. All the ads were about vacancies on online trading platforms and work on interesting international projects. The tablet was sent to him in connection with registration on the advertising platform, but David did not notice that he pressed the “Accept” button in the window that informed him that he would receive a special tablet for a more detailed acquaintance with the company’s services. It turned out that some job advertisements were placed by the advertising platform itself or by organizations associated with it. Yes, much to David’s surprise, he received an invitation to an interview signed by the organization listed as the owner of the advertising platform, namely “Magic Directions and Strategies International”. David hesitated, not knowing what to say about the announcement, but still the invitation aroused his curiosity, and he decided that he would go for an interview to get more information about the position and goals of the organization. Vanessa also decided to apply, and she was also invited to an interview. The invitations indicated to both that they would have to complete a special task at the interviews, namely, to make a short presentation with ideas about how the working day should look like and how the company’s product should be presented. “Let’s try, so what. Maybe we’ll stumble upon something interesting and promising!” – said Vanessa. – “Yes, or we can be deceived or hijacked. I’ve never heard of such a company… What are they up to with this ad? It looks like a large-scale project of a powerful criminal group. They have created so many different applications. They’re big!” – David hesitated. “Dave, don’t be so suspicious! Let’s go to an interview and find out more about them. Maybe it’s for the best…” – Vanessa replied with a smile.
On the appointed day and time, David and Vanessa arrived for an interview in a business building that looked more like a mixture of an office of an international organization, a technology company, a fashion agency and a design studio. The building had a lot of conference rooms, meeting rooms, inscriptions with various wise thoughts and reflections, calls to solve pressing issues. There were many halls and rooms equipped with the latest technology. At the same time, there were a lot of interesting design solutions, as if you were in a museum of modern art. People in suits walked along the corridors, including those with unusual and previously unseen patterns. David and Vanessa were invited to one of the interview rooms where they were met by a group of smiling and kind people who wanted to watch their presentations. David and Vanessa made their presentations, after which they had to listen to the assessments of a jury consisting of strangers. These people told them that how they conduct their presentations is not so important. What is more important is what exactly they emphasized in their presentations and what ideas they offered. David and Vanessa looked at each other in embarrassment, feeling that they probably didn’t succeed, and told the interviewers that if they had more time to prepare, they probably would have done better. The interviewers, in turn, told them that they just wanted to see how they would approach a special task in order to learn more about them as people. They said that building trust and dedicated teams that you can really rely on is a long process. At that moment, a curious person appeared in the hall. He was wearing some strange clothes and shoes made of different pieces of fabric, leather and other materials. From a distance it looked like a walking mosaic panel. When he got closer, it even turned out that on some pieces of fabric there were small screens on which various clips were projected, but these screens were relatively small, and in order for a person to see what was being broadcast on them, he had to look carefully, and this is not particularly culturally. The gentleman’s outfit looked very curious, not too cluttered, it even looked quite modern and avant-garde. Apparently, this person is one of the big bosses. He greeted everyone present in the hall and slowly and carefully walked towards the job seekers. “Hi, how are you?” – the unknown man addressed David and Vanessa. – “Do you like the setting? Welcome to “Magic Directions”! Do you want to change your life and never regret it?” – The mysterious gentleman continued. “Sounds promising!” – Vanessa noted. “Absolutely everything we do is very promising, we have a lot of interesting projects! What are you interested in? What hobbies do you have? We have something for everyone, you will never be bored with us!” – the stranger tried to break the ice and talk to the shy couple. “You have a cool style, I really like your costume. And also, what’s your name?” – Vanessa replied. – “Sorry, I didn’t introduce myself. My name is Richard, or Rich for short, and I am one of the main managers in the company. I have been working here for many years, but you will rarely see me in the office because I am a very busy person. I’m working on a lot of projects and directions at the same time.” David listened and smiled silently. Richard just smelled like a lot of money. “Now Vanessa’s heart can really beat faster,” – Dave secretly thought with a smile. But David was sure there was something behind Richard’s kindness, but he couldn’t say exactly what. He doubted that he and Vanessa had fallen for the scam, but for some reason it all seemed too big and far-fetched to be a simple scam. They had such a huge office and so many branded applications. They used such advanced technologies. Besides, no one asked them and Vanessa for anything at all, they didn’t have to do anything or pay for anything at all. It looks like these people were really looking for people to work with and partners. Who the hell are they and what are they really doing? What are their real goals and what are they up to? What is Rich’s role? A gangster or an influential figure who performs functions that no one suspects? Such questions bothered David. Most of his assumptions were in the negative direction, and he was convinced that there was something rotten in this case. That this is a big criminal enterprise or a financial pyramid scheme. He could not guess with sufficient certainty what kind of people he was dealing with and what these people were up to, after just one meeting with them. It would have taken longer. David would not want to get involved with such mysterious people and put himself at risk. However, Vanessa has a completely different opinion on this, because she remains extremely impressed with the interview and the company as a whole. She’s sure she wants to try. Will David’s fears turn out to be true, or will events take a completely different, unexpected and surprising direction?
